“Bop to the Top” with High School Musical Jr. at the Waupun Area Jr./Sr. High School!

Disney’s High School Musical JR. is playing at the Waupun Area Jr/Sr High School on November 8th and 9th. The fun-filled 60-minute musical, designed for young performers, is based on the 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie and the subsequent National Tour. The cast includes approximately forty 7th, 8th & 9th grade students. The assistant directors, stage and set design crews and the sound and lighting crews are also comprised of several high school students.

Wildcats everywhere! This up-beat throwback to the ins and outs of high school drama is a nostalgic romp for young and old alike! The audition notice is posted for East High’s spring musical and superstar athlete Troy and science whiz Gabriella secretly want to try out. Will their dreams be thwarted as they navigate the cliques of East High? Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite High School Musical songs such as “Get’cha Head in the Game,” “Stick to the Status Quo,” and “We’re All in This Together.” With its inspiring message of friendship, self-discovery, and teamwork, you’ll be singing and cheering along with High School Musical JR. all the way to opening night!

Performances of Disney’s High School Musical JR. are open to the public at the Waupun Area Jr/Sr High School on Friday, November 8th, at 7:00 pm and on Saturday November 9th, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Children not yet in Kindergarten are free. Tickets may be purchased starting on October 28 in the high school office (7 AM - 3:30 PM) or an hour before each performance until the start of the performance.
